Mahmoud is a Senior Drilling Engineer with extensive experience in drilling and workover operations across semi-submersibles, jack-ups, and land rigs. He has contributed to major projects with leading energy companies, including ADNOC, Chevron, ENI, BP, Wintershall DEA, Dana Gas, and Edison. He currently serves on the SPE Drilling Technical Director Advisory Committee (2026–2028) and as Program & Engagement Chairperson (Middle East) for the SPE Drilling Systems Automation Technical Section, alongside committee roles at the SPE/IADC International Drilling Conference, ADIPEC, and KOGS. He has published several SPE papers on complex drilling challenges, and holds two Master’s degrees, a Diploma in Strategic Management, and is pursuing a DBA.
