Ammal Al-Anazi is a production engineering manager at Saudi Aramco, and has performed multiple division head roles during more than 29 years of experience with the company. He has been at the vanguard of several giant field developments during his career, never shying away from any of the biggest challenges that exist in production and operations. His exceptional insight, innovative problem- solving skills, and robust enthusiasm have been his hallmarks, consistently resulting in setting new benchmarks for production optimization. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering in Artificial Intelligence, and is a widely published author in SPE journals and at conferences. Through these channels he has shared his knowledge globally for the benefit of the SPE community. Simultaneously, with an ever active and creative mind, he has been a keen inventor of petroleum engineering technologies with 11 patents granted and several more pending.
